April 2023
1. The SAU Chief Dr. Benyi Li was invited by Dr. Dong Gao and Dr. Zhengfei Li to visit the CAS Institute of Cell Biology on April 26 for a seminar [A brief update on AR degrader development]
2. The SAU Chief Dr. Benyi Li was invited by Dr. Weiqiang Gao to visit the Renji Stem Cell Insitute on April 27 for a seminar [P62 oxidation in response to oxidative stress].
March 2023:
1. The SAU Senior Fellow Dr. Jindan Yu and her lab moved to Emory University in Atlanta from Northwestern University in Chicago. Her lab is now recruiting postdoctoral fellows.
2. Ka Wing Fong, PhD recently joined the Toxicology and Cancer Biology group led by Dr. Xiaoqi Liu at University of Kentucky as a junior faculty at the Assistent Professor level. Dr. Fong received his postdoctoral training with Dr Jindan Yu at Northwestern.
3. The SAU Senior Fellows Drs. JT Huang and Ming Chen at Duke Pathology published their recent work showing RB1-deficient prostate cancers are sensitive to ferroptosis induction via E2F/ACSL4 pathway.
4. The SAU Chief Dr. Benyi Li visited UTSW with three Senior Fellow members in Dallas, Drs. Li Liu, Qing Zhang, and Xiakai Sun.

5. The SAU Senior Fellow Dr. Qing Zhang will co-host an AACR Special Conference on kidney cancer at Austin TX in June 24-27, 2023.
6. The SAU Senior Fellow Dr. Xin Lu group recently discovered that a nuclear protein PYGO2 might be a therapeutic target to boost immunotherpay in prostate cancer.
7. The First SAU Webinar was successfully held online via Zoom meeting on March 16, 2023. Thanks to the organizing committee led by Dr. Haojie Huang. Two SAU Fellows Drs. Xin Lu and Zheng Xia gave two excellent talks about their prosttae cancer projects. There were more than 55 participants joined the webinar around the world. THere will be more monthly seminars on the way.

8. The SAU Chief Dr. Benyi Li visited Houston and had a wonderful lunch party with seven SAU Fellows during this Labor day holiday.
